Assets / Liabilities
The "Assets / Liabilities" tab contains a simple table you can use
to determine your net worth.
TopicsDetermining Net WorthPersonalizing Assets and Liabilities Determining Net WorthSimply compute the total current market values for any assets you own corresponding to each of the listed categories, and enter them into the appropriate entry fields. Then do the same for the "Liabilities" entries.Quick Tip: For help with calculations, select <F3> (function key 3) in any entry field to bring up a simple calculator. When done with calculations, you can press "Insert" on the calculator to put the result into the origin entry field. Keep in mind that for an entry to be registered by the program, you must either hit <Return> (or <Enter>) after typing or inserting the amount. Alternatively, a <Tab> or mouse selection in another entry field will register the value. Your total net worth is displayed in the right-hand side of the information bar. Back to Top Back to Topics Personalizing Assets and LiabilitiesIf you wish to use names other than the defaults for your table, you can add, edit, or delete them using the "Asset / Liability Options" editor above the tables.To add a new asset or liability, simply type in a unique new name in the appropriate entry field at the top (left side for a new asset, right side for a new liability) and select the "Add" button. To edit an asset or liability name, select the name you wish to modify in the corresponding option menu, type a unique new name into the entry field, and select "Edit." The amount used in the old name will be retained. To remove an asset or liability, select the name you wish to delete in the option menu and select the "Rem" button. Back to Top Back to Topics |
